Just bought Iain Govans project
March 12, 2007
Group,
In part due to illness and the recent lack of progress by their builders I have been asked to announce the sale of two very advanced and well-constructed Z-21 Flitzers.
*The first is G-FLZR, Iain Govan's long term project which is complete and rigged, with controls all connected but without cover. This project will be offered with two VW engines, one of which has been converted and the other stripped. All welding complete apart from the engine mount. Tubing for mount included. Wheel components include hubs, rims, tyres and tubes, unspoked. Original 'square tail version'.
Iain writes that the aircraft is virtually finished apart from covering, painting, engine installation and cowls. All parts for wheels including C90 rims, two new tyres and tubes, Mike Wood's disc brakes with plans.
Engine parts consist of spare engine, crankcase crack-tested and line-bored for 92 mm barrels, pistons, prop flange, Zenith carb., oil pump, inlet manifold & pipes, barrels and pistons all from Acro Engineering 2-4 outlet coils for Leburg electronic ignition system, Ford No. 885F 12029 Z2A. All spars are Doug fir. Parts include front flying wires not shown on photographs. Rudder, elevator and ailerons all connected and working. Seat in grey leather. Windscreen ('Nieuport 11' type) in protective plastic.
Total spent in excess of £7000.
